Easy and Casual Outfits to Wear – A/W 2020

I know I have been MIA for quite some time, but I felt like I needed one big long break to figure out which direction I’m taking this blog in. I didn’t really come up with a foolproof plan, but I will most likely be focusing on fashion/style and how to’s for taking great photos. I probably won’t be posting too much about skin care anymore because it’ll end up being too repetitive. I plan on focusing more on fashion and style for now because that is actually my thing – read my bio if you want to know more about my background.

Anyway, let’s jump right into the point of this post. It’s the best time of the year – Autumn! It’s slowly cooling down and finally time to really showcase our true style and cute outfits. However, these times we’re in are so weird and it makes it hard to wear our dressier outfits. For those who have a hard time dressing more casually because of work or due to their personal style or just want some outfit inspo, then keep reading!

One styling hack that I’ve really been loving is throwing on an oversized denim jacket. I’ve noticed that this works for just about any outfit that doesn’t have denim in it already. I especially love the denim jacket with a dress look. This creates a more laidback and comfortable look while still looking really put together. Any type of shoe will do, but if you want to keep it easy and casual, go for chunky boots or sneakers.

Another tried and true look is turtlenecks with leather bottoms. I am SO happy that (faux) leather pants, shorts, and skirts are trending again. I feel like combining the classic turtleneck with edgy leather creates the perfect styling juxtaposition for Autumn. The best part is, you can throw on any kind of shoes and this outfit will still look so put together. I personally prefer the chunky boot route to keep the casual vibes. I’m definitely in need of some faux leather leggings to wear with oversized turtleneck sweaters for the Winter.

This trend has been in for a few years now – chunky white tennis shoes. I personally wasn’t a big fan of these at first because I have pretty big, long feet and I wasn’t trying to look like a clown. Now, I feel like the shoes have gotten a little less chunky and really only come with a slight platform which makes it perfect for those with large feet. I’m sure you can tell, I wear mine pretty much every other day because they can go with basically any outfit. I especially love pairing them with wide leg pants to create that casual style. Doing this also shortens the body if you have a particularly long figure like myself.

Fall fashion is nothing without layering, so I encourage layers with most outfits if not all. Layering can pretty much (not always) dress down any outfit regardless of if you layer underneath or on top. I normally don’t layer underneath (see the last box on the right) but I do feel as if that’s a great way to not only stay warm but also wear your sexy summer slip dresses throughout the cooler season. All of the outfits below can be worn with opaque or sheer tights and/or even knee-high socks. This will keep you warm and switch up the style of the outfit.

This might be one of my longest posts but I’m not mad about it. I hope this was informative for those looking for some Autumn outfit inspiration or just anyone out there. If you want to know any details of any of these outfits leave a comment or check out my Instagram. Thanks for reading!
