M-61 Exfoliating Pads vs. Dr. Dennis Gross Exfoliating Pads

A few days ago, my mom handed me a handful of exfoliating pads that she was no longer using. She hadn’t had them for long but she said they were really good and they no longer fit in her routine. These exfoliant pads just so happened to be the M61 PowerGlow Peel pads. I may have mentioned in the past that I also use the Dr. Dennis Gross Peel Pads and I thought this would be a good time to do a comparison but also a first impression.

Ok, so I love Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Extra Strength Daily Peel pads because they are super gentle and can be used every single day if necessary. I’m still shy about AHA’s & BHA’s so I don’t use them daily but you can if you’re really trying to keep your acne under control. Whenever I do use them, I love the way my skin feels the next day – baby’s bottom smooth and decongested. I also notice that my pimples (if I have any) reduce in size and I have more of a glow.

I’ve only used the M61 PowerGlow Peel pads once, so I’m not exactly reviewing this product just yet. Unlike the Dr. Dennis Gross Peel Pads, the M61 pads do not come with a second neutralizing step. This isn’t completely necessary in my opinion but it’s always nice to have that option even if it doesn’t really do much. Initially, the M61 burns and tingle especially in comparison to the DG Pads. It had also been a while since I did a peel as well, so that could also be why it did burn the way it did.

I did experience a lot of purging pimples with the M61, but that to me just means the product really works. I never experienced purging the DG pads but that could be because I wasn’t using it every day like it says you can. Apparently, the M61 Peel Pads can be used daily as well, but I would advise against doing so at first especially if you’re new to chemical exfoliating. I personally would use them 1-2 times a week to give your skin some time regenerate and avoid getting irritation.

If you are ever experiencing purging pimples try adding more moisture into your routine after you use chemical exfoliators. I love using the GLOW RECIPE: Watermelon Glow Jelly Sheet Mask because it calms down any inflammation and it actually does hydrate like nobody’s business.

Anyway, my choice of exfoliating pads kind of just depends on what my skin is doing. When I’m in need of some extra TLC, I think I’d reach for the M61 Pads to get the job done a lot more quickly. Whereas, if I want something more gentle and to work overtime, then I’d reach for the Dr. Dennis Gross Peel Pads. I am leaning more towards the M61 pads because I do like to see more instant results and I like to know for sure if the product I’m using is actually working. I will definitely keep using them in my routine for the time being and try to document my skin during the process.

Have you tried the M61 PowerGlow Peel Pads? Leave a comment if you have!

I was turned on to the m-16 PowerGlow Peel by a sales associate at Blue Mercury and they made a difference in my skin by the time I woke up after my first use. They helped clear up stubborn clogged pores and make me skin brighter , skin tone more even and my pores appear smaller. I went to Sephora to buy it but they didn’t carry it
So I am trying Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta extra strength Daily Peel , which was recommended by the associate there. I hate to switch after such great results but I’m going to test it out.

Both are really great, I go back and forth between the two. I think they’re both very similar. I hope you end up liking the Dennis Gross ones!
