3 Trends for A/W 2019

I saw a post not too long ago about trends for the fall and winter and I kind of wanted to put my own spin on it. I was inspired by New Lune’s post who had some awesome fall/winter trends over on her blog. I also thought this would be a good way to segway back into my passionate interest in fashion and style. Keep reading if you want to know what trends will most likely be in this year according to me, ChelsiKay

Sock Boots

I want to say that when this trend first became popular around 2015-ish (correct me if I’m wrong) I knew that it was here to stay. I read so many blogs and watched so many videos that said this trend would fizzle out and die. Boy were those forecasts wrong. I knew they’d make a reappearance every fall because they’re the perfect little boot for those who can’t wear thigh highs due to skinny legs, ankles or all of the above. I have this problem and sock boots have been the life-saver that I’ve always needed. That’s probably why I have 3 or 4 pairs. They’re also the perfect boot for just about any and everyone because they stretch for those who don’t have tiny ankles. Remember that video of Kim K putting a sock over her pump, well that solidified the trend. Also “I like those Balenciagas, the ones that look like socks,” pretty much made this style trend popular yet again and now it’s here to appear in our closets every year.

Beige/Tan/Mustard…Brown based neutrals?

I’ve been out window shopping quite a bit and I’ve been seeing so much dark beige or a variation of it. Maybe it’s actually tan or brown or burnt orange? Anyway, I’ve been seeing it a lot and it is such a gorgeous color. If you’ve been here from the beginning then you know how much I adore neutrals but I’ve never really been into beige or mustard colors until last year. I think dark beige and any variation of the color look amazing on all skin tones which is why it makes such a great style trend. We already see this color on trench coats, but I think we’re going to see it more on sweaters, tops, and dresses now.

Cozy Loungewear

I know loungewear has been dominating the fashion/style scene for a few years now, but I just had to mention it. I feel like loungewear is starting to truly become the norm now; I mean have you seen the coordinates at any given clothing store lately? What I really love is how loungewear has slowly trickled into workwear and it is now acceptable to wear “fancy sweatpants” to the office now. I aspire to be the most comfortable person in the room to be completely honest. I can’t wait until I become a full-time content creator so that I can dress exactly how I want every day – like a bougie bum. Kidding. However, I do want to look stylishly comfortable. Anyway, I think loungewear will be in trend for a pretty long time.
