The Best Way to Wear Strapless Tops

Lately, I’ve been loving strapless tops or bandeau tops because they’re just so easy and can be pretty comfortable. Also, I’m honestly running out of cute loungewear ideas and when in doubt, go back to the basics right? I know there are a lot of people out there who don’t feel as if they can wear strapless because of too much boob or not enough boob – trust me, I get it. Don’t worry, keep reading if you want to know some tricks and styling tips to wear strapless tops.

First and foremost, get the right fit. Most bandeau tops have elastic in them or on them to keep them in place. The only time you need to size down is if there isn’t any elastic, but I don’t recommend buying one without. Next, get your hands on some pasties (if you’re worried about nipples showing) or a strapless bra! Strapless tops are strapless for a reason. If you’re searching for some good pasties, try these, they are some of the best out there. Also, there is boob tape which can also give the girls a lift. I think I’m going to make a separate post about that though.

If you’re not comfortable with pasties, then opt for a strapless bra. Lively has one of the best strapless bras I’ve ever worn. I wrote about the amazing strapless bra from Lively a while ago, which you can read here. I should probably do an update on that post sometime soon actually so look out for that.

Now for styling! It’s super easy to feel naked in a strapless top, especially if you’re going to pair it with shorts or a skirt. The easiest and my all-time favorite remedy for this is to throw on a super cute kimono. It’s like instant coverage while still looking incredibly chic and effortless. You can even do a longline cardigan for some extra coverage if you want.

My favorite garment to pair my bandeau/strapless tops with is joggers or sweatpants. You guys know how much I like to juxtapose styles so this is such a look to me. If I were to throw on some heels instead of sneakers, that would take this outfit from a seven to a ten. Since we’re all quarantined, it’s probably best to go with the sneakers though.

This is the best way to wear strapless tops so you’re not pulling and tugging all day. You may have to adjust occasionally but nothing too extreme. Leave a comment if you have any additional tips.
