I Did a Thing and Purchased SKIMS

Happy New Year everyone! I told you I was back! I was supposed to post before the New Year, but things got incredibly busy really quickly. So I hope everyone had an amazing holiday season and had fun bringing in the New Year despite all the “chaos.” Let’s get to it!

During Black Friday and Cyber Monday, I made a point to get the majority of my Christmas Gifts. While I was shopping for everyone else, I also got myself a little treat. I was in need of some new pajamas and I wanted to try a bodysuit.

Now I used to love styling bodysuits a few years ago, but over time, they just started to be super uncomfortable. It didn’t matter if I sized up or got my normal size; I would spend the day pretty much getting chaffed. I do have one bodysuit I am able to wear that doesn’t give me any issues but obviously, it’s only one. So I decided to give SKIMS a try and as soon as it arrived in the mail, I knew it was going to be perfect. I even ordered in my actual size and it truly is a perfect fit. I would consider sizing up just for a little extra room, but it isn’t completely necessary.

As soon as I opened up the bodysuit, I noticed that the crotch area extends lower than most bodysuits that are currently on the market. This was already a win for me. Once I tried it on, I was definitely already sold. It IS still a bodysuit so it isn’t the absolutely most comfortable thing I’ve ever worn, but it is the most comfortable bodysuit I’ve ever worn. Most bodysuits can give you instant full-on wedgies while this suit sits on top of the parts versus digging in if that makes sense. Also, it’s incredibly soft, and y’all know how obsessed I am with soft clothes.

Now, how would I style this? Because I’m a sweatpants type of girl, I would definitely reach for some black or white sweatpants and throw on a longline coat or shacket over it. However, since it is a new year, I’m going to try to step a little outside my normal. To get that really chic influencer it-girl look, I would style it with some dark wash jeans, chunky boots, and a puffer jacket. The puffer jacket look is my favorite right now which I will get into in a different post.

Let’s move on to the pajama set! I got the shorts and tank top set in brown. I’ve worn this set every night since they’ve arrived. I sleep very warmly, so I went for the shorts sleep set instead of the long sleeve option. These are some of the softest most well-fitting pajamas I have ever slept in. I normally just wear a big shirt, but as I said, I sleep warm and would end up sweating.

My only issue is that the top does pill if you dry it…and you’re not supposed to put either of these in the dryer. I only see this as a downside because it would be more convenient to throw certain things in the wash and dryer worry-free. Obviously, that isn’t a deal-breaker because I have a handful of garments that I have to air dry anyway. Of course, that is the only downside I can think of so I ended up buying another set in a different color after Christmas. I usually don’t buy more than one color of a garment (except my joggers) but I had to with these.

That’s all for my SKIMS purchase and this post! I normally wouldn’t mention purchasing from this particular brand, but I figured it would make for a good blog post. Also, I didn’t really purchase any fashion items last year other than joggers and I know I can’t make yet another post about some joggers!

Look out for more fashion-related posts this year because I have a bunch in mind. That’s all for today. Thanks for reading,

Girl I loved skins too! I got a few pairs of the boy short undies and a bra/leggings set. The leggings were the basic pair so they were mad thin for me but it might be worth it once the summer hits. We’ll see lol. Anyway, great post 💕
