2018 Brand Awards: Beauty Tools Edition

Welcome back to the 2018 Brand Awards hosted by yours truly! Check out the makeup edition and the skincare edition if you haven’t already. I was initially going to do award my favorite fashion brands this year, but it was kind of difficult to decide since I shopped at so many stores throughout the year. I decided to award 2018’s best beauty tools instead, which works out because I keep things focused on beauty! Keep on reading to see which beauty tools I picked for 2018!

2018’s Most Interesting Brand: Billie

Okay, if you haven’t heard of Billie yet, then you’re missing out! It’s a lot like dollar shave club, but the razors are pretty and more feminine. I purchased my Billie razor a couple of months ago in the lavender, light blue color. Needless to say, I love the actual razor and how close the shave is. The blades are actually really sharp, unlike ones I buy from the drugstore. I registered for the blades to be shipped to me every three months since my hair doesn’t grow back super fast. The razor, blades, and the holder are only $9 plus free shipping. The brand also offers shaving cream, body wash, and lotion for a decent price.

2018’s Most Accessible Brand: Sephora Collection

Okay, so I LOVE the Sephora Collection because they offer EVERYTHING you need for a more modest price and that is awesome for people who are budgeting with their skincare and makeup. I am specifically talking about the Sephora Collection eyelashes right now though. Technically this does fall under makeup, but since I don’t wear lashes every single day – let’s just call it a beauty tool. Ardell and Cherry Blossom lashes are great…but they can tend to be stiff and only good for one use. The Sephora Collection Lashes can be worn SO many times and they’re super flexible! The price isn’t as low as the rest of the brand, but once you wear a Luxe Lash set… it’s basically over for any other brand. Of course, there are cheaper lashes to buy under the Sephora Collection, but I definitely recommend the Luxe False Lash for anyone who is lash obsessed!

2018’s Most Obsessed-Over Brand: Skin Gym

I’ve had my eye on a Jade roller for most of the year and just never got around to buying one. This Christmas, I got spoiled by a friend who gifted me the amazing Skin Gym Jade Roller! Now there are cheaper rollers on the market, but Skin Gym is a nice sturdy one in my opinion. Also, you want to spend a little bit more for something you may end up using twice a day every day. Skin Gym also offers Gua Sha crystal skin massagers and crystal massage wands for the skin. Not only are they effective, but they’re SO aesthetic! Seriously, who doesn’t like a pretty product that actually works?!

So, these are the end of my brand awards – I hope you all enjoyed this. I like this take on favorite beauty products simply because they tend to change throughout the year. Leave a comment and tell me what brands you would award.

Thanks for reading,

ChelsiKay
