Winter Fashion Essentials You Need

Hello, hello all! I hope you all have been keeping up with me on my YouTube channel and Instagram. I know this is a weird way to start off a post, but I’ve been trying to post consistently on both platforms, so go ahead and check them out if you’d like. Anyway, I’m really here to talk about some winter style essentials that you need…not want but need. I’m being a little dramatic, but you might actually need these essentials when you see them.

Teddy Coat

I know teddy bear coats seem so last year, but they’re making a reappearance this year and they’re really hard to turn away from. I couldn’t wait for it to get cold again just so I could pull out the super warm teddy coat I got for Christmas last year. I got my hands on a neutral brown, but this year I would love to get a bold colored one just to make a statement. I’m thinking red.

Thick Pants/Leggings

I don’t know about you guys, but I’m tired of these cheap pants or leggings that don’t keep me warm. I’m on the hunt for another super thick pair of leggings just like the ones I have from American Apparel – the Winter Leggings. If you all have any recommendations on where to find some thick leggings for the winter, please leave a comment!

Socks

Two things need to be kept warm during the winter and that is your feet and your head. If your feet are even a little bit exposed, chances are you’re going to get cold pretty quickly. I would invest in some fuzzy or furry socks if you haven’t already. I would also invest in some over the knee socks just to add a little bit more style to your looks. I’m a huge sock fanatic and I HATE cold feet so you better believe I have a drawer full of furry, warm socks just for the colder months. Is it frivolous to want cashmere or alpaca socks?

Cashmere

Speaking of cashmere…do you know how luxurious cashmere is and how warm it can keep you even on the coldest days? I know not everyone is a big animal wearer, but if you don’t mind then I would definitely suggest purchasing a cashmere garment. It is definitely on the more expensive side, but I promise it is worth it. I have a cashmere sweater that I bought about two years ago and it’s still holding up. I also have a few scarves that will always be my go-to’s whenever it’s really cold out. The best place for affordable cashmere is probably Everlane, they have sweaters, scarves, and sweater dresses. If you wait until after Christmas, both Bloomingdale’s and Nordstrom are likely to have a sale on certain brands – you just have to look.

I know in some places, winter has already made an appearance, but for those who haven’t gotten quite a taste…well you better get ready. If you don’t already have these in your closet, then definitely go out and get some because you just may need it so you can be stylish and warm this winter!
