3 Things They Don’t Tell You about Manifestation/Law of Attraction

Remember how I said I would be talking more about spiritual well-being? Well here’s the first official post.

Manifesting or law of attraction. I’m sure you’ve heard a little bit about it if you’ve been on the internet in the last few years. It’s gaining popularity but it’s nowhere close to being mainstream…unless of course, we’re just talking about healing crystals and being “woke.” You’ve probably seen different forms of manifesting like, positive thinking, mindfulness, vision boards or meditation. In any case, you’ve heard of it or seen it somewhere and if you’re reading this you might be a tad bit interested. Before I get into this, manifesting/law of attraction isn’t about not doing the work and accomplishing your goals…it’s a mindset and opening your eyes to your surroundings and taking paths that are right in front of you. Also, it’s about believing in yourself and knowing what you want out of life.

I want to get into some things that I hardly ever hear about this concept. These are things that we just rarely think about when we’re meditating or visualizing especially when we first start out.

  1. Be Specific

Manifesting can be a lot like a genie in a bottle, you have to be clear about what you want. You can ask or visualize a car but it probably won’t be the car you want if you don’t ask for it. After I got my license, I seriously needed and wanted a car. I honestly didn’t care which car it was, just that it got me from point A to B. I indeed got a car and it did what it was supposed to do, except it had some serious problems and even red flags from day one that I ignored. The money I spent fixing it every couple of months could have been used for a newer model that didn’t need an oil change every two months. That car eventually got totaled and I started driving a car in even worse shape that I knew for sure I didn’t want. The experience was fun though. I wanted a specific car after my first one got totaled and that is the car that I currently own now. It gets me from point A to B, its reliable, great on gas and ok it’s a Honda.

  1. People may be manifesting you

This sounds kind of creepy when you think about it but, have you ever been really interested in someone and it was working out just fine and then all of a sudden it wasn’t. After a couple of days of being confused and maybe a little sad you meet a person that you seriously vibe with and you’re hanging out all the time. This could be with friendships or even romantic partners. This actually happened to me recently, except I was the one who manifested a person. I wrote down all the things that I desire within a man…it was just a simple list of characteristics and traits that I hoped to find in a partner. About two months later, I started seeing this guy that I liked since last year; initially, I was excited that he liked me back and we decided to see a little bit more of each other. My friend asked me how it was going between us one day and I didn’t really need to respond for her to know that I just wasn’t feeling it as much. There wasn’t anything wrong with the guy, but we just weren’t meshing the way we had when I first met him. About a week later, I ended up meeting another guy through a friend and the way we interacted with each other was on a completely different level and absolutely refreshing. I won’t go into too much detail because we can’t jinx it now, can we? That same week, the first guy ended up showing his true colors and that was all that I needed to see.

  1. Mind your company

This is probably one of the most important rules you’ll learn in the spiritual well-being community. It’s not so much that having a certain person around you in your life is blocking blessings, but that person may unintentionally (sometimes intentionally) be blocking blessings. Let’s speak about the unintentional aspect. You have a best friend who you love with your whole freakin heart, but you start to realize that they still may have the SAME issues they had in grade school. They haven’t taken the steps to heal or they’re holding onto their past trauma or they’re simply just a negative thinker. Sure, you can speak your mind and even try to influence them, but at the end of the day, you cannot help those who don’t want to be helped. This doesn’t mean you have to drop them, however, you will most likely want to set some boundaries so that you as a person can grow and collect your blessings. I don’t think I need to go into depth about intentional blessing blockers because those types of people can’t ever stay in the dark for too long.

Hopefully, this was helpful for those who are just starting their spiritual journey and may have had some doubts or questions. I thought these were just some good tips to know that aren’t typically talked about that often. Leave a comment if you have anything else to add. As always thanks for reading,
