What’s in my Cosmetic Travel Bag(s)?

I think packing is probably my least favorite thing to do. I don’t mind packing for short weekend trips, but weeklong overseas trips are kind of stressful. I’m pretty sure I watched every “pack with me” video on YouTube and yet I’m still stressed. Part of the reason I feel like I’m stressing is that I’m taking a duffel bag with me versus one of those cute little carry-on suitcases. Seriously, that would have helped tremendously! However, the duffel will have to work this time around.

One of the main things I didn’t really need to worry when it came to packing was my makeup, skincare, and other miscellaneous toiletries. On Saturday, I went to the closest Base Exchange with my dad and purchased all of the little travel minis (ibuprofen, body lotion, bobby pins, etc) that I needed. It’s kind of ridiculous how much cheaper things are on a military base compared to Target. Anywho, I picked up these 4 piece cosmetic cases to put all of my skincare and other non-liquid toiletries in.

Everything here is pretty self-explanatory. I included my setting sprays, primer, powder, and serum foundation because they fit perfectly in the bag I’m using. I mean that setting powder is pretty bulky and the bag is perfect because it stands upright, therefore I won’t have a bunch of powder all over the place.

skincare bag

Surprisingly this bag can fit all of these skincare items without being too bulky. I may have to put the toner in a clear bag for all the TSA stuff. I included my toothpaste (my toothbrush will go in here too) because I typically brush my teeth and then wash my face so why not put them together? I have body lotion hidden all over my luggage because ya girl gets ashy and I have no idea if the climate is going to be dry or not.

I’m really proud of what makeup I’m taking. I’m proud because this is basically my everyday makeup normally minus the eyelashes and substituting the Becca Foundation for my IT Cosmetics Serum Foundation (which I’m also taking.) I love that my everyday makeup is also my travel makeup. I’m sure if my skin were even clearer, I would have even less makeup!

So these are my cosmetic bag(s) travel essentials give or take a few things pictured. I’m starting to get really excited for my trip and I can’t wait to take pictures and blog about everything! Thanks for reading.
